Dublin Connections to Trusted Professionals

No trusted professionals found for this community.

For Google to verify your Business Profile, you need to validate that you own and actively operate the business at the location you provide. This typically involves a video verification showing your workspace, business equipment, branding, and access to non-public areas. If you serve customers at their locations rather than inviting them to yours, your profile should be configured as a Service Area Business. This allows you to define the communities you serve while keeping your street address hidden from public view. Your address is still required for verification, but it will not be displayed on your profile, helping protect your privacy while demonstrating legitimate business ownership and control.

Professional Meeting Location

Service area businesses and some storefront businesses still need a professional place to meet with clients, vendors and employees. This may not be practical at your home, a coffee shop and sometimes even at your office.

Permanent Mailing Address

Businesses often need several different mailing addresses. First is the legal address for the Statutory Agent listed for your LLC. This is usually an attorney if you set this up professionally but if you skip legal help and do this directly with the Ohio Secretary of State then you may need to list yourself as the Statutory agent. It may not be ideal to use your home address and you cant use a PO Box or CMRA (mail center).

For business mail such as checks, bills and contracts it may be helpful to have a PO Box if this is convenient to your home. It is a huge hassle for a business to change the payment address for their customer payments, credit card statements, bank statements and other business mail so with a PO Box you can set this once and have mail go there for decades and also know that it is secure while you are out of town.

Business Resources - Service Area Business vs Storefront Business

Learn what type of business profile is appropriate for your type of business and the Places where you serve your customers.

Trades, Construction & Home Services Accordion
What is a Service Area Business?

A Service Area business is a business that does not have customers visit their brick and mortar location.  It does not apprea in map results and hides your address. Some examples are home services and contractors that go to the customer's location, and businesses operating out of their home or a coworking space.

What is a Storefront Business?

A Storefront business is a business where customers come to your location to purchase goods and/or services. This is a mapped Google Business Profile so that customers can get directions to visit the business. Storefront businesses are popular with companies that want to show up in "near me" searches, such as "coffee shops near me" or "hair salon near me".

Benefits and Limitations

Both types of businesses can configure up to 20 individual towns or neighborhoods for their Google Business Profile. In practice, your website will need to show examples of your work and have landing pages for each of those communities before Google will show your business profile to customers in that area.

When a Home-Based Business Should Hide Its Address

A home-based business should configure their Google Business Profile as a Service Area business and hide their address unless you have signage and customers visit your home. Google will still require video verification of your home office to show that you own and control the business.

When A Storefront Business Is Appropriate

Google requires storefront business to meet the following criteria:

  • have permanent signage at your location
  • have staff onsite during your business hours
  • submit a video and often additional verification documents to show that your business operates here and you have access to non-public areas

Why Dublin Is a Great Place to Build a Business

Trades, Construction & Home Services Accordion
Direct access to the Columbus region

Dublin sits northwest of Columbus at the I-270 and US 33/SR 161 corridors. This makes it practical for businesses serving customers, employers and partners throughout Central Ohio.

Established corporate and small-business market

Dublin hosts thousands of businesses, major employers and corporate headquarters. That concentration creates demand for professional services, vendors, contractors and B2B specialists.

Bridge Park and Historic Dublin

Bridge Park and Historic Dublin combine restaurants, retail, offices and walkable public spaces. Their activity creates attractive settings for client meetings and businesses that depend on local visibility.

Choice of flexible business locations

Dublin has coworking, executive suites, private offices, virtual mailing options and USPS branches. Businesses can select the amount of physical space and support they need rather than immediately committing to a long lease.

Entrepreneurial support close to home

The Dublin Entrepreneurial Center, the SBDC Dublin advising location and regional venture-support organizations provide practical connections for new and growing companies.

Strong networking infrastructure

The Dublin Chamber, AmSpirit, BNI and independent networking organizations offer regular ways to meet peers, referral partners and prospective customers.

Technology and innovation investment

The city supports the West Innovation District and technology-oriented economic development. These initiatives strengthen the environment for growing firms and specialized service providers.

Community amenities that support recruiting

Parks, trails, schools, restaurants, events and neighborhood amenities help businesses attract employees and create an inviting experience for visitors and clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Trades, Construction & Home Services Accordion
Can I use a Dublin virtual office as my business address?

Many providers offer business mailing addresses, but allowed uses depend on the agreement and the receiving organization. Confirm state registration, banking, licensing and Google Business Profile rules separately before publishing the address.

Can a mailbox address qualify for a Google Business Profile?

A rented mailbox or virtual office alone generally does not qualify as a staffed business location. Google requires eligible in-person operations and has specific rules for virtual offices and coworking locations. Check current Google guidelines.

Where can I rent a meeting room without a full office?

Brick House Blue, COhatch, Office Evolution and several executive-suite centers advertise meeting rooms. Ask whether nonmembers can book and what equipment and parking are included.

Is there coworking available by the day?

COhatch and Brick House Blue advertise day-use or day-pass options, while other providers may offer flexible plans. Confirm current hours, availability and reservation requirements.

What is the difference between a virtual office and a private mailbox?

A mailbox mainly handles correspondence and packages. A virtual office may add meeting rooms, reception, phone support or access to workspaces; the included services vary by provider.

Where can a contractor receive packages in Dublin?

The UPS Store locations accept packages for qualifying mailbox customers, and some virtual-office providers offer mail and parcel handling. Check size restrictions, carrier acceptance and pickup hours.

Where should a consultant meet clients?

Bridge Park coworking locations, executive-suite centers and Office Evolution provide more client-ready settings than a retail mailbox counter. Choose a private room for confidential conversations.

Are there private offices for financial or legal professionals?

Yes. Dublin has several executive-suite and private-office providers. Before signing, evaluate privacy, sound isolation, accessibility, data security and any industry-specific obligations.

How can I find business networking groups in Dublin?

Start with the Dublin Chamber, AmSpirit Dublin, BNI Bridge Park Exchange and CONNECTED Dublin. Attend a guest meeting and compare membership requirements, professional category restrictions and meeting formats.

Which SBDC serves Dublin?

Ohio SBDC at Columbus State serves the area and lists a Dublin advising location at the Dublin Entrepreneurial Center. Schedule an appointment to confirm the available adviser and services.

Does Dublin offer help to growing businesses?

The City of Dublin Economic Development team provides guidance on business growth, site selection and applicable programs. Incentives are not automatic; eligibility depends on the project.

What should I compare before choosing office space?

Compare total monthly cost, deposits, meeting-room credits, parking, mail and package handling, guest access, internet, accessibility, security, cancellation terms and expansion options.
